Tiwa Savage Visits Orphanage In South Africa Where She Advocates To Stop Child Trafficking
Tiwa met with the SA Honorable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Malusi Gigaba, before her crew was accompanied to the House Group where young girls who had been rescued from child trafficking were being catered for.
Tiwa Savage shared her experience after witnessing the strength and courage displayed by these young women.
Tiwa wrote, “Even though I was supposed to give these beautiful young ladies words of encouragement I ended up being more inspired by them. They said they didn’t want to be seen as victims but as conquerors because the fact that they are still alive proves that God is not done with them yet. This was such a powerful moment to witness. #stopchildtrafficking #hillbrow #southafrica #thehousegroup #homeaffairs #orphanageafrica”
Meanwhile, the mother-of-one was awarded theHero Of The Month by reelafrican.
She exclaimed her excitement, “Yesterday I was presented with the “Hero Of the Month” Award by the lovely people @reelafrican … It was such an honor to receive this and it really means a lot to me. Making music is just part of my story. Touching lives and using my platform to make a change no matter how little is ultimately the goal and this award just reminds me of how important that is. A huge thank you to @matthewmensah you’ve been such a sweetheart and an incredible help to me #ILoveSA #siyabonga #RED?”
