S.A. Mother Sentenced To 10 Years For Kidnapping

A South African Woman has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for kidnapping a new born baby and raising the baby as her own child since 1997.
The biological parents were reunited with their missing daughter after their second daughter befriended a girl in school that bore a striking resemblance to her. A DNA test confirmed that the daughter’s friend was actually their first kidnapped daughter.
The kidnapped baby was snatched from the bedside of her sleeping mother in the hospital.
The Judge John Hlophe reprimanded the kidnapper for failing to show remorse for her crimes and ordered that the kidnapped girl’s adopted name and the name of the kidnapper should not be used by the media to protect her privacy.
