Port Harcourt Residents Lament effects of Consistent Rainfall

The inter Ethnic network for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is appealing to the Rivers State government to extent the clearing of debris from gutters to the Nkpolu –Oroworukwo in the Mile three axis of Diobu to improve the life span of the roads and health status of residents.

The group’s interim management team spokesperson Ozimonu Gudu told newsmen that the on-going desilting of drainages by the government should be done on a regular basis.

She said the worsening flooding of mile three was as a result of blockages of the underground drainage constructed by the past administration of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi

Meanwhile some residents in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo,in the Mile 3 Diobu axis of Port Harcourt have called on the state government to do something to reduce flooding of the area after heavy down pour.

Some of the residents of mile 3 Diobu told correspondent Anita Ogona that flood waters flows into their houses.

The mile three residents called on the waste management agency and the state government to come to their aid by desilting the drainages.
