Some repentant cultists and freedom fighters are expected to surrender their name today to the Rivers State Amnesty committee.
The ceremony would take place in Emohua local government area.
In the meantime some individuals have declared support for the amnesty programme of the state government.
A cleric Reverend Minaibi Dagogo Jack said the amnesty programme will help in addressing the issue of insecurity in the state.
Reverend Minaibi Dagogo Jack however advised the state government to include the church in the amnesty programme.
On his part a Port Harcourt based Peace Advocate Bright Abali cautioned that the amnesty programme may not achieve the desire result if data of repented criminals are not properly documented.
He advised the various cult groups who have already embraced the State amnesty offer to submit their arms.
