Instagram App For Tablets & PCs Now Available

That is changing as Instagram has released a dedicated app for Windows 10 and PCs.

In April, we brought Instagram to Windows 10 Mobile. Now, Instagram for Windows 10 tablets includes all of your favorite features, including Instagram Stories, Direct and Explore. And you’ll be able to capture, edit and share directly from your Windows 10 tablet device.

Stories – Stories from people you follow will appear in a row at the top of Feed.

Rich, native notifications – We’ll send you the notifications you want to see so that you don’t miss important updates.

Instagram Direct – Instagram Direct lets you exchange threaded messages with one or more people, and share posts you see in Feed as a message.

Full featured Search, Explore, Profile, and Feed.

The app brings support for Live Tiles, letting you see new photos and notifications straight from the homescreen, utilizing the Windows 10 dashboard.

Unfortunately iPad users still do not have an official Instagram solution. Here’s hoping the release of a Windows 10 app for tablets is prompting a move in direction from Instagram that will see an iPad app released in due course.
