Youths in Bauchi State have warned senators representing the state at the National Assembly not to join others who are planning to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.
The youths, under the aegis of the All Progressives Congress, APC Vanguard also described as worrisome the move by a Senator in the state to grab power by all means.
The youths, who came out in large numbers, issued the warning in a letter signed by their Chairman, Nura Zungur and delivered to Governor Mohammed Abubakar at the Government House, Bauchi on Thursday.
The group also warned that those planning this unpopular and unpatriotic move would face recall, stressing that the people of Bauchi state voted them in to complement the efforts of the president to deliver the dividends of democracy and not to intimidate him.
They further described as unacceptable recent move by a Senator from Bauchi to frustrate the good works of the Abubakar administration, saying such attacks on the governor would no longer be tolerated.
The youths called on their senators to join hands with Buhari and Abubakar to move Bauchi State forward, saying categorically that they were against any attempt to impeach Buhari.
Responding, Abubakar thanked them for their support, and promised to deliver their message to the president, adding that he would continue to work side by side with Buhari to improve the lives of all.
He also decried the attempts by desperate politicians to tarnish the giant strides he had achieved saying that “business as usual” was now a thing of the past.
