​ Techiman Municipal Fire Commander suspended for attempted rape

The Techiman Municipal Fire Commander has been suspended after allegedly attempting to forcibly have sex with a community fire employee attached to the station.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO)  of the Ghana National Fire Service, Prince Billy Anaglatey disclosed this to Adom News Tuesday.

Mr. Eric Ansah was rushed to the Mount Olive hospital at Techiman in the Brong Ahafo region following a bite on his manhood by the lady after he tried to have sexual intercourse with her without her consent.

Ataa Takyi reportedly feigned inter­est in the man who stormed her room around 1:00am on Saturday. This was after all pleas had failed. She bit his manhood and  called the station for assistance when he began to bleed profusely after the bite.

Mr. Ansah was later rushed to the hospital by his officers who came to the scene in response to the distress call.

The case has been referred to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Techiman Central Police Station after Ataa Takyi filed a report.

The Fire Service has instituted an independent investigation into the matter, Mr. Anaglatey disclosed.
